IOW BRANCH RALLY 2006, ISLE OF WIGHT STEAM RAILWAY, HAVENSTREET

The 2006 rally is to be held at the much liked venue of Havenstreet station, on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. There will be self judging (as in recent years when each class owners judge another class) for condition classes and the IOW branch officials will judge Custom and Modified. Entrance to the rally is 5.00 per car. As last year we are also hosting an all makes Autojumble on the Sunday: if you would like a pitch please show on the entry form.

Camping will be available from Friday until Sunday night at the rally site (only fairly basic facilities). Cost will be 3.00 per tent each night.

For those who are around on Saturday afternoon there will be a run to Wolverton Manor Country Garden Fair, near Shorwell. After this we will return to Havenstreet for a Barbecue. The on site cafe will be able to provide the usual excellent cooked breakfast for campers and anyone else who wants one on Sunday morning.

After the rally on Sunday evening everyone is invited to join the IOWMMOC at Appley Manor Inn, just outside Ryde for an evening meal. We have done this for the past couple of years and it has proven most popular so to help with the booking please indicate if you would like to join us on the form. It is good pub grub at a reasonable price.

Ferries can get busy over weekends so it is best to book, but in the past those who have turned up on spec have had no problems. Wightlink run from Portsmouth and Lymington (08705 827744) and Red Funnel from Southampton ( 023 8033 4010). We have negotiated the following special deal with Wightlink:
